Delay connectors are non-electric, surface delay devices. They provide delay between holes and rows in blasting operations where detonating cord is used for initiation. Delay connectors consist of a delay element, housed in the center of an aluminum tube. Both ends of the tube are open to allow entry of the detonating cord. Delay connectors are available in 20 and 50 millisecond delay intervals.
