EM-EX belongs to the new generation of emulsion explosives. It is based on an ammonium nitrate solution, densely dispersed in a continuous oil phase, emulgator and other ingredients. Aluminum is added in amny cases to increase the strength (EM-EX Al). The product is sensitized by the addition micro ballons.
Because none of the ingredients is an explosive itself, EM-EX is very safe from the handling point of view compared to other explosives. It's water resistance is excellent and the products of detonation are free of toxic substances. The unique synhtesis of EM-EX, does not cause headache or any ohter medical effect to the user
